Recipe: Broccoli with garlic, butter & lemon

  • 1 head of broccoli, washed, separated & cut into 2” pieces
  • 4 cloves of garlic, chopped
  • 1/2 onion, chopped
  • 3 T fresh basil, minced
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • Juice of 1/2 lemon
  • Salt & pepper

Heat pan over medium heat and sauté onions for 2 minutes. Add broccoli, garlic & lemon. Cook about 5-6 minutes and add butter, salt and pepper to taste. Serve immediately. Optional: add freshly ground Parmesan & 1 t red pepper flakes.
