Closing of Tysons Market

Dear Shopper,

I regret to inform you that we have decided to withdraw from the Tysons Corner market as of Oct. 21. We will not be on site for the last two weeks of the season because our vendors were just losing too much money with no hope of increasing sales. While we do not know now what our plans for the Tysons area will be next year, we do hope to return, and we will maintain the mailing list so that we can let you know. Many of you have been loyal supporters and shoppers; there just weren’t enough of you to keep my vendors coming many miles with no increase in sales from week to week.

There is tremendous potential in your area, and at some point I would like to be located at one of the Metro stops or as part of the new “walkable” Tysons Corner. In the meantime, we will work over the winter to look again at this site and at other possibilities. If you have any ideas, please share them with us.

Thank you again for your patronage — hope to see you next year.

Jean Janssen
